The Line-Up is a collective of talented musicians from the San Francisco Bay Area. It features Veno Bender on bass, Michael Carter on vocals, Kosuke Okamura on drums, and Bennett Roth-Newell on piano. Inspired by love of jazz standards, the Line-Up is dedicated to reviving the musical significance of the Great American Song Book. Between members' regular gigs, they first played at Lizarran Tapas Restaurant in Gilroy, CA. The show led to a series of performances, including festival appearances, political, private, and public events throughout Northern California. Since their formation in 2011, the Line-Up has played at prestigious venues including Cinnabar Winery (Saratoga, CA), Encinal Yacht Club (Alameda, CA), the Inn at Del Monte Beach (Monterey, CA), San Francisco Zoo (San Francisco, CA), San Pedro Square Market (San Jose, CA), and Wente Vineyards (Livermore, CA). With an innovative and refreshing approach to the Great American Songbook, the Line-Up has established themselves as a local favorite of the Bay Area and beyond.
